Cat McWilliams Band
Local musician, Cat McWilliams and her band rock the blues and classics and their original material.
Cat McWilliams was born to sing the blues (and rock). Originally from St. Augustine, Cat started playing the guitar and singing when she was in high school.
Early in the last decade she provided vocals and rhythm guitar as part of the acclaimed local band, Yankee Slickers. With them she shared the stage with a number of regional and national bands.
Cat took a break, and came back with her own band, the Cat McWilliams Band, performing blues and rock standards, as well as original music. Joined by three talented musicians on lead guitar, bass, and drums, Cat has created a band that has developed a strong following in Jacksonville and St. Augustine.
Whether singing her own composition, such as "Skip the Dream," or a classic blues number such as Marvin Gaye's "Inner City Blues," Cat brings energy, talent, and the ability to convey not just the words and melody, but the depth and emotion of the songs she sings.
