Two-time Grammy Award-Winner, Cedric Burnside, uses his background in Mississippi Hills Blues to create new songs that resonate with today's audiences.

For his new album, I Be Trying, Cedrick Burnside — Mississippi Hills Country Blues singer, songwriter, and guitarist — wrote and performed 13 tracks that remind of us the trials, sorrows, and joys of modern life in the south.

A winner of two Grammy Awards, Cedrick Burnside is one of the recipients of a 2021 National Heritage Fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts. As a guitarist, he is a national treasure, and Mr. Burnside has written music and performed worldwide for over 30 years. His legacy is his connection to the music from the past, as well as his outstanding original songs, that show his understanding of today and his hope for tomorrow.
