Cry No Mas
Corey Thomas, singer and songwriter performs under the title of "Cry No Mas."
Originally from California, Corey Thomas started playing piano when he was six, picked up a guitar as a preteen, and began to listen to YouTube, learning to play the music by ear.
Now in St. Augustine, Corey is a singer, songwriter, storyteller, and photographer who performs under the title "Cry No Mas." Corey has said he was influenced by Stevie Wonder, Frankie Vallee, James Tayler, Drake, Billy Joel, and Andrew Three Thousand. He strives to write songs that would be the 2020 versions of a mix of those influencers, saying that if they put all of those songwriters in a room, he'd want to be the kid in the corner taking notes.
He says he was fortunate that his hometown in California was a small town with many creative people and that he is still in touch with friends from there, "...we still feed off each other."
