For more than 20 years, the Dave Matthews Tribute Band has been enchanting fans globally with exhilarating performances. With more than 2,000 shows, the band has evolved from a local cover group into a committed tribute act focused on replicating the beloved sound of the Dave Matthews Band.

At the forefront of this musical journey is Gary Wilkinson, who not only serves as the lead vocalist, but also plays the acoustic guitar. His discovery of the band in 1994 through the album Under the Table and Dreaming, sparked a lifelong passion, leading him to immerse himself in Dave Matthews Band’s entire catalog. His enthusiasm helps create memorable experiences for fans across the country. Alongside him is David Suriani, the talented drummer who started his musical journey at age eight and was drawn to DMB at 14. With rigorous training from Eastman School of Music, David has dedicated countless hours to mastering the intricate drumming style of Carter Beauford, adding depth to their performances.

Since 2004, the Dave Matthews Tribute Band has been on an unparalleled touring schedule, making it the only nationally touring tribute act for the Dave Matthews Band. They bring back the iconic sounds of energetic violins, soulful saxophones, vibrant acoustic guitars, smooth basslines, and dynamic drums that originally captivated fans, creating a thrilling revival for both longtime enthusiasts and new listeners alike.

Adding to the band’s rich sound is Gresh Laing, the saxophonist influenced by legends such as LeRoi Moore. Gresh’s impressive career includes 23 years of leading bands in the U.S. Navy Music Program, and he now lends his artistry to Dave Matthews Tribute Band while also producing other musical projects. Tim Sheldon, the bassist, brings a wealth of experience from various performance settings—from concert halls to smaller venues—having joined the band in 2018 to share the music of Dave Matthews Band with fans everywhere.

Another vital member is Abe Dewing, a versatile violinist hailing from Boston. With a background that includes performances under renowned conductors like Leonard Bernstein, Abe has not only co-founded the Fusion String Ensemble but has also showcased his talents in notable venues. He is dedicated to sharing his love for music through private lessons in his studio.
