Emmet Cahill
Emmet Cahill has been hailed as "ireland's Most Exciting Young Tenor."
Emmet Cahill, an award-winning tenor who was formerly with Celtic Thunder, has performed in more than 80 cities in North America — including at St. Augustine's annual Celtic Music and Heritage Festival.
Emmet has opened the New York St. Patrick's Day Parade, and his debut at New York's Carnegie Hall was a sold out performance. Emmet, originally from County Westmeath in Ireland, performs with orchestras and ensembles and also takes the stage alone with his guitar.
Whether performing solo or with an orchestra, Emmet is known for his outstanding voice and classic interpretations of favorite Irish songs. When he takes the stage at a festival, such as St. Augustine's Celtic Heritage Festival, the audience is invariably moved by his voice and phrasing, and delighted to join in and sing a familiar chorus.
Seamus Brett accompanied Emmet on the piano for "Will Ye go, Lassie."
