Ferris Delux
Long-time collaborators, Ian Opalinski and Matt Loewy added Andre Martins to the mix to create Ferris Deluxe.
Matt Loewy, Ian Opalinski, and Andre Martins make up the trio that is known as Ferris Deluxe. Matt, Ian, and Andre could be the poster guys for musicians and collaboration in St. Augustine. Each has a solo career, and each plays in one or more groups. All three are songwriters and multi-instrumentalists, and all have cobbled together a career in music based on talent, hard-work, friendships, and that ability to form collaborations.
Singer, guitarist, and songwriter, Matt Loewy, from L.A., was featured on American Idol in 2018, and performs in Los Angeles, Florida, and the Midwest. Matt and Ian Opalinski have been friends and collaborators for many years. Ian moved to northeast Florida from the Midwest a number of years ago, and now has a huge following as a solo artist in St. Augustine and the surrounding area. Andre Marins, from the Palm Coast area, is a multi-instrumentalist who primarily focuses on drums and keyboards, and play with a number of bands in the region. In addition, he performs as a DJ, under the name, SatelliteFrank.
In Ferris Deluxe, Matt is lead singer and guitarist, Ian provides back-up vocals and plays bass, and Andre provides back-up vocals and plays drums. Their sound is inspired by 50s rock and blues, and their music includes classic covers, modern pop, and a bit of original music. The band is talented, energetic, and clearly have a lot of fun — so the audiences have fun, too.
