GILT

This band uses their talents to share a message of acceptance and healing.

This post-hardcore, emo/punk band has found a way to use their considerable talents to write and produce songs that include the important, challenging topics of gender dysphoria, mental health, and body dysmorphia.

From Jacksonville, Florida, GILT released the EP Conceit, which explores the topic of grief with songs that include "Small Hollow Bones," "In Windows (Ignore What's Missing)," and "Flowers." Their Bandcamp profile states their mission, "GILT is Therapy." They hope to promote healing and understanding through their music, saying, "... It is letting yourself be confident and doing what you need to heal."

Originally, the band of two included founding members Tyler Fieldhouse on guitar and Ash Stixx on drums and vocals. Like all working bands, they have put thousands of miles on the road in their van, and have adjusted the band and their sound. Ash now sings lead vocals, and they've been joined by Nico Bacigalupo on bass.
