Glass Camels

With the huge interest in all things Dead in North Florida, the Glass Camels' favorite byline is "Psychedelic Music made in the good ole USA since 1989." Playing small venues, concerts, festivals, and as the opening act for many national bands, this band has won the appreciation of the most stalwart Deadheads.

As the longest-running Grateful Dead tribute band in the area, these guys gathered in May of 2024 to celebrate their 35-year reunion show. With a loyal Deadhead following, the Glass Camels shanghai the lifeblood of Dead's improvisational style. Sometimes playing as the "core four" or with up to seven players, they keep the legacy alive in familiar psychedelic music.

Best known for their authentic renditions of Dead tunes, they encourage audience participation, and fans are seen dancing with their solo cups across the floor. A band of persistence and recovery, the Glass Camels have seen lineup changes, the emergence of new music genres, and life-threatening health issues, yet they keep the southeastern psychedelic music scene rocking.
