This data scientist/musician became known simply as "Gruuve" when performing cover songs at venues in Savannah and St. Augustine.

Gruuve plays electric guitar and sings, using a looper to lay down base tracks that project a fuller sound. His voice is adept at singing songs made famous by top performers from the 70s to the present, including Chris Stapleton, Prince, Def Leppard, and Journey.

In both Savannah and St. Augustine, Gruuve often performs solo, and is delighted when local musicians join in with voice, harmonica, or percussion. When the stars align, he's able to present Gruuve and the Soul Shakers, a trio that includes an electric bass player and drummer, such as Mad Mike on drums and Suavek on bass guitar. With every show, Gruuve plays those old songs you like but haven't heard in a while—classic hits that other artists may skip—and a few of his original songs.

Skilled at the guitar, Gruuve's use of his live looper enables him to take a few guitar solos during the set, amping up the energy in the room. His smooth, bluesy sound encourages the audience to sing along when he plays their favorite covers, getting everyone in the groove that is Gruuve.

A sample song list for Gruuve includes "All Along the Watch Tower," by Bob Dylan; "She Talks to Angels," and "Twice as Hard," by the Black Crows; "Born on the Bayou," from Credence Clearwater Revival; "Probably Leave," by from Chris Stapleton; "Shaky Ground," from Delbert McClinton; "Don't Sop Believing," from Journey; and "Proud Mary," written by John Fogarty of Credence Clearwater Revival.
