Hippies & Cowboys

Rock 'n' soul: Mowtown meets southern rock in a fresh sound from Nashville.

The band Hippies & Cowboys employs the concept of rock 'n' soul, which astonishes listeners with memories of music that they had loved in bygone times. Taking an old sound, and bringing an invigorating element to it, it has been overwhelmingly received by audiences. Add some horns, and you get the unique sound of Hippies & Cowboys. From the first time that they performed their original music, which "blew the roof off the place," the band found that listeners wanted to hear originals, and not just covers of familiar favorites. The show left listeners begging for an encore.

The band is living the music; their lives revolve around gigging, writing, recording, and promoting the band and its music. This speaks of what the songs do for the listeners: pulling them in, and providing a vibration that they have come to love.

Drawing influence from disparate sounds of Otis Redding, Booker T & The MGs, Tom Petty, and Lynyrd Skinner, with some Beatles and Blues Brothers tossed in, they mix it up and blend together iconic and recognizable songs for a heartwarming experience. From festivals and listening rooms, to bars and live recordings, Hippies & Cowboys bring crowds to their feet with familiar tunes to sing along with, and dust off the dance floors.
