I-Vibes is St. Augustine’s premier island rock band, earning the reputation of being a high-intensity original ensemble with influences of funk, rock and roll, and reggae.
St. Augustine, Florida's I-Vibes is as island based as it gets. This original ensemble has been legendary in the music scene for almost a decade, mixing together rock and roll and reggae with their own individual influences, making their body of work extremely fascinating to absorb. The difference in genre song to song is uncanny, their on-stage "good vibe" energy translates into the audience within seconds, and their larger than life performance remains unmatched. An ensemble since 2010, I-Vibes has recorded and self-released two original albums in the past eight years, the first a self-titled record in 2011 and their second full length album, Living Loving & Learning was released in 2014.
The band typically consists of seven members, lead singer Jay Vallone, backing vocalist Kalli McGinnis, Jamie Mclean on saxophone and backing vocals, Paul Trammel on electric guitar, Jon Foster on acoustic guitar, Josiah Hassel on drums, and Chris Kearnes on bass, with special guest performers taking to the stage almost every show. With a spirited on-stage energy, an array of talent spanning decades, and an original sound unlike any other, I-Vibes is determined to push the boundaries of sound. Electric guitarist Paul Trammer describes their music as "a tree with many branches reaching for the horizons of creativity."
