Jam-ology

Jam-ology offers a different kind of group, a club of musicians who come together to make music, encourage each other, learn, and provide entertainment. 

The Jam-ology House Band is a mix of seasoned musicians, usually consisting of at least a drummer, electric guitarist, and electric bassist. Core members are Joanne Crowder, Chris Albano, Christian Hadjopoulos, Gerry O’Hare, and Ivan Smith. During their local jam evenings, and at many gigs, they will often invite other musicians to join them, showcasing their talents. The band plays several genres, including blues, swing, jazz, Latin, and reggae.  

Jam-ology has programs for youth, seniors, and anyone who wants to play music with others. They have developed a following at their Monday Jam-ology Jam at Casa de Vino 57, where the Jam-ology house band of professional musicians and instructors invite musicians and singers to join them on stage for a few songs. 

Jam-ology gigs work the same way, with a baseline band joined by several other musicians. The experienced musicians raise the bar and support those new at playing for a crowd. The less experienced musicians bring a sense of wonder and adventure to the stage. Both make the audience's enjoyment their goal.
