Jimmy Bragg

From St. John's to St. Johns - from Newfoundland in Canada to Florida in the United States, Jimmy Bragg brings traditional Irish folk music and sea shanties to our community. Performing full-time now, Bragg retired early so that he could follow his passion and share it with listeners and lovers of traditional Irish music.

Originally from Newfoundland, Canada, he has relocated his family to Northeast Florida and is making the rounds in the area's Irish pubs. Maintaining that he was not a musical prodigy as a child, Bragg picked up a guitar at age 23 at a karaoke show, and made a new friend. Singing a cappella onstage, he draws the crowds in to join him with choruses and foot-stomping, with his strong baritone vocals. Penning his own tunes, and singing old sea shanties as well as his favorite, traditional Irish songs, Bragg has reached into the hearts of southerners and found an appreciative audience.
