Kayvon Music

Making the world a better place, one rap at a time.

Kayvon's first raps were penned while he was still in elementary school, which he performed for his mother. His family was splintered, and he and his siblings were sent away to school, but Kayvon chose the higher path, using his self-reliance to look for opportunities instead of following the dark path. With an eye on the Wharton School since the eighth grade, Kayvon knew what his goal was, and got his education as well as establishing a music label.

During his college years, Kayvon mentored youth in West Philadelphia, and developed an upbeat note to his music, in which he says he tried to "inspire people to come together regardless of their background.” Recognized by Forbes magazine as one of the Most Outstanding Business School Grads, Kayvon utilized the allies he made to create his own future as an entrepreneur, musician, and digital content creator.

In the prelude to his new song, "House Money," Kayvon says, its "been a minute since I hopped on the mike," (he's been busy developing projects and influencing folks and entrepreneur-ing). In his new hip-hop tune, he reflects on his family drama, (his father is imprisoned for the attempted murder of Kayvon's mother, who recovered, but without function), and his father's lack of remorse. Kayvon acknowledges that he carries the trauma, but that he is resilient.
