Based in Jacksonville and self-described as a "vintage tribe with a 'Kreepy' vibe," The Kreepy Tikis offer as unique a genre combination as anyone could imagine. The band's distinctive style and sound stems from their creative fusion of '60s surf rock with shock rock elements.
The band uses classic reverb settings to give their songs those familiar surfer tones, but they add extra distortion to give the guitars a heavier twang and more sinister tone. They complete their signature sound by incorporating an electronic instrument known as a theremin, masterfully manipulating it to produce "kreepy" spectral tones.
