Linda Cole
She sings and promotes jazz, particularly those works in the Great American Song Book.
Originally from Illinois, Linda Cole made her home in Florida more than 15 years ago and has been extolled as Flagler County's "Queen of Jazz" and Central Florida's "First Lady of Song."
As a child, Linda performed with her siblings in the "Singing Cole Family," a group well-known throughout the central U.S. in the 1960s. That group started strictly as a gospel group before they added popular secular tunes to their act. Afterward, Linda toured extensively, performing with the London Symphony Orchestra, Chuck Mangione, the Temptations, and the Count Basie Orchestra.
With her move to Florida, Miss Cole focused her performances on the Great American Song Book, particularly the jazz standards. She's a Florida favorite and has sung with the Orlando Jazz Orchestra, the Daytona Beach Concert Band, and the Space Coast Symphony Jazz Orchestra. She has also volunteered extensively and has been an active board member of the Fitzgerald Center for Performing Arts in Palm Coast.
