The five-member band, Liza Attic standing against a metal wall

Liza Attic

This band of five musicans and song-writers are filling the venues in Northeast Florida.

Known for their lyrics and musicianship, Liza Attic, an indie/alt/rock band from Jacksonville, includes elements of psychedelic, funk, and classic rock in their original songs.

A slightly different version of the group wrote songs and performed for two years as BTGG, with the late singer/songwriter/guitarist, Max Higney. That band morphed into a new group as their sound matured and they built a home recording studio. Someone found notes in the attic written by a young woman named Liza. Shortly after completing the studio, the name Liza Attic found its way into Northeast Florida's music realm, and the group released their first EP, The Loft.

Liza Attic, with drummer John Jones, lead guitarist, Cole O'Halloran, Jordan Smith on vocals and guitar, and EJ Rivers on bass, released their first album, Friends, in 2023. Shortly after, the group added Micah George on keys, synth, and percussion. The five are committed to keeping Max's dream alive as they write songs and develop performances designed to move the audience.

They perform frequently in Jacksonville and have ventured into St. Augustine as their popularity has grown.
