Lonesome Bert and the Skinny Lizards
This St. Augustine-based all-original, Americana and folk band writes and performs all around Florida.
Lonesome Bert and the Skinny Lizards made their first debut in 2005 in St. Augustine, Florida. The band started off by playing at the First Friday Artwalk at Saltwater Property Group every month, having weekly gigs at the Florida Cracker Cafe, and performances at A1A Ale Works every once in a while. Since then, they have been playing along the coast of the Sunshine State all the way to the Florida Keys.
The band's commitment to their audience has made them vastly popular. Even with a small crowd, they play with their whole heart, and although most artists record their music before releasing it to their fans, this band prefers to play their songs live several times for immediate feedback. If the feedback is good, then they move on to the next phase in the studio and start recording. The band plays at bars, bar mitzvahs, weddings, parties, potlucks, and more.
