Three adult brothers, seated with one on the floor, all wearing black and white

The Lubben Brothers

These brothers are multi-talented instrumentalists, composers, and vocalists.

The Lubben Brothers’ website states they were “Established in 1994.” These triplets, raised on a farm in Iowa, are all classically trained musicians. Together and individually they sing, write songs and musicals, and perform.

The Lubben Brothers, in birth order, are Michael, who has performed as a solo pianist with classical orchestras and who plays the banjo and fiddle (or violin) as a member of the trio. He has a day job as a pianist at Palm Beach Atlantic University, is music director at a church, writes songs, and mixes the Lubben Brothers' albums.

Tom, the middle brother, majored in English and writes the books for their musicals. He most often plays fiddle for the band, on a violin crafted by luthier, Bob Menzel.

Joshua, the “baby,” performs with guitar in hand, writes and records with his brothers. In addition, he directs musical theater productions. Depending on the show, Joshua has served as composer, musical director, and musician for a wide variety of productions in South Florida.

In May of 2024, the Lubben Brothers headlined at SunFest in West Palm Beach. In August, they celebrated 10 years of performing as South Florida’s Folk Band.
