Mary Flower

Mary Flower is a renown blues guitarist, singer, and songwriter.

Originally from Indiana, and now a resident of Oregon, singer, songwriter, and outstanding blues guitarist Mary Flower frequently visits St. Augsutine to share her music and her expertise.

Also a highly acclaimed guitar instructor, Mary offers lessons online, has been an instructor at various music camps, and offers group teaching sessions when she travels.

Mary is known as a "picker's picker" and has been a finalist (and the only woman in the top three) at the 2000 and 2002 National Fingerpicking Guitar Championships. She has eleven recordings, including four albums for Yellow Dog Records of Memphis.

To say that she is a "blues guitarist" is simply not telling the whole story, as she enjoys and promotes acousitic blues guitar of every kind and style — from Mississippi blues to hot jazz, to her collaborationw ith the BBQ Jug Band, creating a bluesy jug band sound (without a jug.)

When in Florida, Mary often performs with "Mr. Aullie," the stage name of musician Donald Blitch, singer, guitarist, and harmonica player.
