Mike Hynes

Originally from New York, Mike Hynes lived in Massachusetts before moving to Northeast Florida. Mike has performed in public since high school. He was a founding member of three bands from high school through the '90s, including THE CORE on Long Island with John Chowske.

In Massachusetts, he performed with Bill McElaney as an Irish duo, and later met fiddler, Dinah Mellin, teaming up with her to form a duo that plays Irish favorites, fiddle tunes, and pop rock. When Dinah visits Florida, Fiddlers Rock inevitably gets a gig or two.

Mostly, Mike performs solo in pubs and restaurants in Flagler and St. Johns Counties. He plays mostly classic rock and pop, using a loop box to get a fuller sound. He enjoys playing party sing-along tunes and likes to get the audience swaying and joining in during favorite classic songs.
