Rivers Rutherford has had more than several number one hits and has won more than 20 ASCAP awards and multiple Grammys. Brad Paisley featured Dolly Parton when he recorded Rutherford's song "When I Get Where I'm Going," and took it to number one. Brooks and Dunn's most successful single, "Ain't Nothin' 'Bout You," is by Rutherford with Tom Shapiro. That song won Billboard's and ASCAP's Song of the Year.

Carrie Underwood, Faith Hill, Reba McEntire, Keith Urban, and many other performers have recorded Rutherford's songs and taken them to the top of the charts.

Rutherford has a gritty and wholly country style and is devoted to his family, faith, and making great music. He tours, booking about 50 dates a year, and is as capable on stage as he is as a songwriter. He has been known to open a gig with a three-minute guitar riff because he wants folks to know he "can play the hell out of this thing."

Rivers is still writing for some of the biggest country stars and is known for songs that tell stories we can all relate to.
