Root Sea
Reggae and dub are the joy of this family-and-friends band.
The sound of reggae has been a strong draw for a family of Floridians who find dub to be their bliss. Two fathers, along with two sons plus two pals form the reggae/dub music group Root Sea. This original company of serious musicians currently plays in Northeast Florida and will be performing at the 2023 Sing Out Loud festival.
Trying to share their own sound along with their respect for the music, the album One Sea was released in 2018, and then, in 2022 the band released their EP Mind Over Matter which features two new dub songs. With a history of playing with major reggae influences such as many of the Marleys, and the Wailers, Steel Pulse, Inner Circle, Israel Vibration and Culture, this band generates an awesome show that is not to be missed.
