Roy Book Binder, originally from Queens, New York, encompasses what some call a contemporary bluesman mentality. Learning and growing as an artist during the great folk/blues revival of the 1960s, he got the chance to work with the best, such as Reverend Gary Davis and Pink Anderson. Although he continues solidifying folk music and strives to keep the tradition of the genre alive for younger generations, he performs a variety of original and classic tunes.

Get a taste of his open tunings and sliding arrangements with his versatile discography: Travelin' Man (1972), Bookeroo! (1988), Pork City Ramble (1998), Singer-Songwriter Bluesman (2001), and The Good Book (2013). This talented artist has accumulated an impressive repertoire and endless accomplishments in his 45-year career. He has toured with Bonnie Raitt, Arthur Big Boy Crudup, Hot Tuna, and JJ Cale. He's also appeared on the Ralph Emory Show, at the Grand Ole Opry, and on PBS specials alongside Terry Gross.

Praised for his guitar skills and storytelling abilities, Binder acts as a one-man blues-fest that audiences have come to love. Fans can find him across the United States, Canada, and Europe jamming at festivals and celebrating folk and blues.
