Terri Jo Box is a singer songwriter from Nacogdoches, Texas currently living and working in Nashville Tennessee. She wrote for Merf Music Group for 7 years and currently writes for her own publishing company, Nacogdoches. Prior to moving to Nashville, TJ was a Christian Country artist touring mostly Texas with 2 top 5 charting singles. She pens everything from the old traditional sounding country music that she grew up on, to Contemporary Country, Contemporary Christian, Southern Gospel, Pop, Red Dirt and Bluegrass. Her voice has a sweet soulful sound that takes the listeners right where her songs want them to go.
Since devoting her career to songwriting, she has had her songs recorded by artists such as Miranda Lambert, Eric Church, Trisha Yearwood, Ashley McBryde, Trent Tomlinson, Michelle Wright, Wade Hayes, Shenandoah, Gwen Sebastian, Jason Sellers, Gary Chapman, Chelsea Bain, Holly Tucker, Red Marlow, Danny Worsnop, Branded, Homeland, Levy Riggs, Jenae Cherry, Clayton Anderson and April Kry. Singles released to radio include Trent Tomlinson "Come Back To Bed", Chelsea Bain "What If I", Gary Chapman and Holly Tucker "About A Baby", Michelle Wright "Laugh A Little". Gwen Sebastian "Quicksand" and Ashley McBryde "American Scandal" In 2016 she landed a cut on the Miranda Lambert double album "The Weight Of These Wings" The song "Dear Old Sun" is one she co-wrote with Lambert and country artist Gwen Sebastian. The album also won 2017 ACM Album Of The Year.
Terri Jo Box has made a major contribution to the songwriting community by creating booking and hosting the 2 of longest running writer's showcases in Music City second only to the legendary Blue Bird Café' and now owns and host the popular Music Row Freakshow at Winners Bar and Grill.
