Wendell Mobley singing at a microphone with his guitar

Wendell Mobley

This guitar player and singer has written #1 songs for several performers.

Chances are, country music lovers will sing along when Wendell Lee Mobley takes the stage.

From Ohio, Wendell moved to Nashville and performed as a guitar layer with Jack Greene and Alabama while he wrote songs and worked to get them in front of the right people. Once he had songs recorded by Kenny Rogers and Joe Diffie, he switched to songwriting full-time.

Alabama recorded "We Can't Love Like This Anymore" in 1994, which was Wendell's first cut as a single. Since then, his number-one hits include "How Forever Feels" and "There Goes My Life," recorded by Kenny Chesney; and "Fast Cars and Freedom," "Take Me There," and "Banjo," recorded by Rascal Flatts.

This songwriter is also a talented singer and guitarist.

Wedell still performs in songwriting concerts and festivals, where he can more than hold his own when singing with Kenny Chesney or with a full orchestra.
