Richard Kuncicky, Mark Evans, and Joe Fitzgerald are well-known in St. Augustine as composers, songwriters, vocalists, and guitarists. Richard and Mark often perform solo gigs at several St. Augustine venues, and Joe is sought after as a bassist and vocalist. Together, the three men perform as a trio, enabling them to expand their sound and repertoire and to have fun with guitar solos and harmony. 

Richard Kuncicky (kun-SIS-ky) has performed in St. Augustine since the 80s, first playing guitar and singing at the Miltop Tavern as Rick Kyson. Afterward, he focused on performing instrumental guitar arrangements and was a full-time guitarist at the Cafe Alcazar for several years. He now spends part of each year in North Carolina, where he has developed a following for his fingerstyle guitar arrangements of original compositions and old favorites. 

Mark Evans, originally from Pittsburgh, is well-known as a singer, songwriter, and guitarist and has performed on stages throughout the United States. He moved to Austin to hone his skills and shared the stage with Vince Gill, Earl Scruggs, the Marshall Tucker Band, and Pure Praire League. In St. Augustine, Mark is an audience favorite, playing solo, or as the Whitecaps Trio with Joe Fitzgerald and Rick Kuncicky. When Rick is "up north," Mark and Joe perform as the Whitecaps Duo.
