Grouper Shack, a family-owned restaurant and bar located at the Cat's Paw Marina, serves an assortment of fresh seafood, handhelds, and tacos. Indoor and outdoor seating is available for those searching for a laid-back ambiance.
Order starters for the table: dips (smoked fish, crab, and sweet Sriracha shrimp), ceviche, conch fritters, calamari, gator tail, ahi tuna, blackened shrimp nachos, sautéed crab claws, and homemade cornbread.
Try its signature half pound seafood baskets featuring fried clam strips, fried cod, mahi, trigger, local shrimp, grouper, fried crab cake, fried oysters, and Atlantic scallops. Baskets come with fries and slaw. Steamed options include oysters, peel & eat shrimp, royal red shrimp, crab legs, and whole lobster. Handhelds — fresh catch sandwich, lobster roll, shrimp po' boy, grouper BLT, southern style chicken sandwich, and a classic burger — and tacos — fish, shrimp, and ahi tuna — are served.
Soups (lump crab stew, lobster bisque, and seafood gumbo), salads (crab & avocado, garden, and Caesar), and tuna poke bowls (sushi rice, seasonal veggies, and poke sauce) are also offered.
The menu has various yummy sides: waffle fries, mac & cheese, coleslaw, white beans & ham, tomato salad, bacon collard greens, sweet mash casserole, and cabbage.
Boat dockage and parking is available at the marina.
