Schooner's Seafood House

For over 30 years, Schooner's Seafood House has served fresh seafood — including their award-winning Minorcan Clam Chowder — to visitors and locals in St. Augustine. 

This St. Augustine institution is just north of where San Marco meets U.S. 1 (also known as Ponce de Leon Boulevard). The family-friendly restaurant has a full bar and serves lunch and dinner Monday through Saturday. 

This distinctly southern restaurant boasts a menu of fresh, local seafood fried, broiled, grilled, boiled, and blackened; meals with beef, pork, and chicken; and options from the swamp with gator tail, frog legs, and catfish. Their extensive menu of side dishes includes items that are available every day, such as french fries and pickled beets, plus rotating daily specials such as a squash medley casserole, crowder peas, and collard greens. 

There's a kids menu for children younger than 12 and a short but sweet dessert menu for kids of all ages — Grandma Bunk's peanut butter pie, homemade carrot cake, key lime pie, and chocolate malt pie.

They have seating in their dining room and on the heated patio—and offer meals to go, as well.

Their special take-out menu is available from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Schooner's Seafood House frequently hosts local musicians, and they have a happy hour from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m., with a buy-one-get-one on draft beer, house wine, and house liquor. 

The restaurant is closed on Sundays.
