The wedding, performance, and event venue, Ancient City Farmstead, offers luxury in a country setting, just a short drive from St. Augustine's downtown and the hotels at World Golf Village. This venue can accommodate large and small events.
The Property
Ancient City Farmstead sits on several acres of fenced pastureland, surrounded by 1,500 acres of Florida forest. The barn and stables are arranged in an L-shape, and the charming green, two-story farmhouse sits apart, with a view of the barns. The restored buildings—barn, stables, and home—offer comfort, elegance, and diverse spaces for a variety of events. The venue has a large parking lot, ensuring your guests and attendees have room to park. Gardens, lawn, and several corralled paddocks surround the three buildings, creating lovely backgrounds for photos. There's always the possibility that you'll be photobombed by one of the full-time residents of Ancient City Farmstead, such as rescued horses, and cute and hairy miniature Highland cattle.
Community Events and Fundraisers
The farmstead is the new home of the St. Augustine Food and Wine Festival, local fundraisers, and the Christmas Experience. In addition, the event space hosts rodeos, markets, and concerts. The owners and staff are delighted to help plan new events and fundraisers; give them a call to book a tour.
Corporate Events
Ancient City Farmstead is delighted to help you create a winning corporate event that's elegant, rustic, or a combination of the two. The facility is a short drive from World Golf Village and the historic downtown area, has ample parking, and can provide space and services for activities, dinner, live music, dancing, and lawn games. Plan your corporate holiday party to coincide with The Christmas Experience to enjoy snow, ice skating, and meet Santa.
Weddings at Ancient City Farmstead
No matter your wedding dreams, Ancient City Farmstead can provide the perfect setting. You can host a planned "elopement" or micro-wedding at the Farmhouse for up to 50 people. They offer a choice of ceremony sites and food prepared by their in-house chef. The 5,000-square-foot farmhouse can accommodate larger weddings of up to 100 guests and includes space in the house and on the lawn to enhance your day. You can even enjoy some lawn games during the celebration. At the other end of the driveway, the climate-controlled Grand Cypress Barn can seat up to 300 guests under an incredible chandelier. And the Ol' Barn next door can seat 300 for the ceremony under cover, in the open space.
Wedding Packages
Ancient City Farmstead offers several packages:
- The Grand Cypress Barn, in the 8,000 square-foot traditional Amish barn, has room for farmhouse-style tables and chairs for 300 in a climate-controlled space. This package includes the use of all outdoor areas on the property, such as the fire-pit, ceremony areas, courtyards, and the Farmhouse Suites for the bridal party. You can ask for a consultation with the in-house chef, work with the in-house wedding coordinator, and choose a ceremony arbor that suits your style.
- The Paddocks Package in the Ol' Barn can be used in conjunction with the Amish barn to provide a separate space for the ceremony, or the cocktail hour between the ceremony and reception. Up to 300 people can be seated in chairs for the ceremony in this open-air barn, while the cocktail hour uses high-tops and whisky barrels for a charming country touch.
- The Farmhouse Package in the restored log cabin farmhouse can seat 50 for a meal and accommodate up to 100 for a cocktail party or ceremony. The building has a full kitchen, an indoor bar, a bridal suite, and one for the groom.
- There are several micro wedding and elopement packages, all located in the farmhouse, including packages accommodating up to 50 people. All packages can include flowers, an officiant, and a choice of photography options.
