The BART on Aviles
This unique venue offers a wine bar inside an art gallery.
The BART on Aviles Street showcases new and well-known Florida artists in a small contemporary gallery and wine bar. The gallery's goal is to share information about the artists while enabling them to share their perspectives. Viewers can explore diverse art from newer, lesser-known artists as well as some of the area's more established creatives.
Artist and collector, Phillip Castillo, has experience as a shop owner on St. George Street and has partnered with co-owner Dee Mahler, a businesswoman who has a culinary arts degree and has taken classes at Cordon Bleu.
As of the summer of 2024, featured artists at The BART include Alain Hentschel, Blythe Laing, Lisa Myers, Michelle Renaud, and Telise Rodelv.
The gallery is open daily with hours varying.
