Seaside Adventures enables those who want to experience St. Augustine on their own to drive around town in a fun vehicle such as a brightly-colored electric-powered Moke, a sleek-two passenger Polaris Slingshot, or an FUV, a "Fun Utility Vehicle" which is an electric vehicle that offers the open-air fun of a motorcycle with a small frame and room for two on just three wheels.
The Moke, a four-passenger rental is a ride the family can enjoy — including the family pet. This emission-free vehicle has a top speed of 25 miles per hour and is the perfect vacation car for those who want to travel on their own and feel the sun and the ocean breezes as they see all the sites.
The Polaris Slingshots, ground-hugging and sleek, are three-wheeled vehicles for two, and perfect for zipping around town, down to the beach, and back again. Seaside Adventures also offers custom-stretched Slingshots that hold three passengers plus the driver — and are also pet-friendly.
And now, Seaside Adventures has a LiMoke, a six-passenger Moke the whole family, or a group of friends can enjoy. The Horton family, owners of Seaside Adventures, designed this one-of-a-kind vehicle based on customer requests. Whether for four or six passengers, Mokes have been a symbol of the breezy, beachy lifestyle since the early 1960s.
The slingshots, Mokes, and FUVs can be rented by the day and are suitable for any paved road from the narrow streets of St. Augustine to scenic A1A. The slingshots have a bit of storage for hats, sunscreen, water, and a compact picnic lunch. They are perfect for getting around town or a scenic drive to Amelia Island, Flagler Beach, or along the St. Johns River. The FUVs and slingshots are approved for all roads.
