Elkton

Farmland, small communites, and the St. Johns County Fairgrounds.

This region extends from I-95 to the St. Johns River with most visitors traveling to Elkton to enjoy the river or to attend a fair or another event at the St. Johns County Fairgrounds.

The majority of this area contains commercial vegetable farms, horse farms, and farm equipment companies. This is one of St. Johns County's two market baskets with produce grown here on display at the farm markets and on the menu at St. Augustine's best restaurants. There are also walking, horse-back riding, and biking trails, as well as the northern tract of the Deep Creek Conservation Area, a natural environment for hiking toward the St. Johns River.

The St. Johns County Fairgrounds is located 13 miles -- or 21 minutes -- from Historic Downtown.
