The Lightner Museum presents 75 for 75: Lightner Museum Diamond Anniversary Exhibition, which will open to the public on Friday, February 3, 2023.
Founded in 1948 by Otto Lightner, publisher of Hobbies Magazine, the museum originally celebrated the diverse collections that were started and maintained by individual Americans from all over the country. In addition to his own eclectic collections, Otto Lightner accepted the single items and full collections that readers of his magazine had offered. "75 for 75" presents that select number of objects and artwork to represent the legacy Otto Lightner left to St. Augustine and her citizens.
From unique figurines, to salt and pepper shakers, to art of all types — the permanent collection of the Lightner Museum is lovingly represented in this exhibition.
