After Hours Tour: Hotel Alcazar Entertainments

On Thursday, September 26, 2024, Lightner Museum hosts an after-hours tour of the Hotel Alcazar's amenities promoted in a 1910 hotel brochure called "For Health, For Pleasure." Starting at 6:00 p.m., the tour explores and explains the recreational and entertainment amenities that drew hotel guests to St. Augustine.

From curative baths to the huge indoor swimming pool, from the grand ballroom to the croquet and tennis courts, the Alcazar attracted their clientele with luxury stores, fine dining, sports facilities, and "modern" amenities.

For this after-hours tour, enter through the front lobby of the museum. Enjoy this unique and extensive tour, and then gather for wine, soft drinks, and light bites. The evening concludes at 8:00 p.m.

Admission: $40.00 for the general public and $20.00 for museum members. Tickets can be purchased online. Members must log in to their account to claim the discount.
