American Idol is an American singing competition that was formed in 2002. Currently in its 13th season, the show produces a live summer tour that features contestants from the previous season to showcase their talents. This years tour will include finalists of American Idol season 13, an incredibly talented group coming to St. Augustine.
With the American Idol Tour, devout fans are able to be up close and personal with their favorite stars of the show. No need spend time watching re-runs on the television when each cast member will be featured live, on a stage. Season 13 finalists that will be featured include C.J. Harris, Jena Irene, Caleb Johnson, Jessica Meuse, MK Nobilette, Alex Preston, Dexter Roberts, Majesty Rose, Malaya Watson and Sam Woolf.
Beginning the tour on June 24, the finalists will travel the United States and stop in major cities until the end of August. For every ticket purchased for the tour, American Idol will donate $1 to The Melanoma Research Alliance to help cure melanoma.Past American Idol tours have included incredible vocalists such as Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Jennifer Hudson, Fantasia, Adam Lambert, Scotty McCreery, Phillip Phillips, Candice Glover and many more.
Where? St. Augustine Amphitheatre located at 1340 A1A South St. Augustine, FL 32080
When? Sunday, June 20, 2014 at 7 p.m. Gates open at 5:30 p.m.
Parking Information: The St. Augustine Amphitheatre is located on Anastasia Island next to Anastasia State Park and Recreation Area. There is very limited on-site parking so visitors must utilize accessible satellite parking facilities. Each satellite parking area is located within 1 mile of the Amphitheatre. Satellite Parking Lots are located behind RB Hunt Elementary, at RB Hunt Elementary and the Elks Lodge.
Shuttle Information: The St. Augustine Amphitheatre Shuttle system begins its run one and half hours prior to show time. The Shuttle will pick up event patrons at two designated shuttle stops & the soccer field behind RB Hunt Elementary School. Shuttles will run continuously until approximately one hour after the scheduled start time of a concert.
