Motorcyclists are invited to join the fourth annual Hometown Hero's Ride, a police-escorted motorcycle ride to raise funds to help injured first responders and veterans get necessary modifications on their homes. The event is Saturday, April 12, 2025, and begins and ends at Adamec Harley-Davidson of St. Augustine, at 380 Outlet Mall Boulevard.
The Hometown Hero's ride benefits Builders Care, which provides first responders and military veterans in Northeast Florida with home modifications due to injury or illness. Every year, the Hometown Hero's Ride selects a Northeast Florida family to honor and assist. The organization has benefited more than 24 veterans and first responders, providing home repairs and upgrades, such as accessibility ramps, at no cost.
Registration is from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., and the first 300 registered drivers will receive t-shirts. The ride starts at 11:00 and will take approximately an hour, starting and ending at Adamec Harley-Davidson. This ride is for motorcycles only.
Refreshments are provided before the ride. From noon to 3:00 p.m. the sponsors host a gathering for all riders, with food, prizes, and a live auction to help raise more funds for the cause.
Admission: $25.00 per bike. The first 300 who register receive t-shirts.
