Fort Matanzas National Monument offers a free junior ranger program about sea turtles and their endangered status on Saturday, June 30, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon. The program is designed for ages 4 to 10, but all ages are welcome.
This program teaches youngsters all about the sea turtles that nest along our shores through educational storytelling. National Park Service volunteer Bonnie Eger makes it fun and interactive in order to encourage young minds to take an interest in the preservation and protection of our environment.
Guests are invited to bring a picnic lunch and relax under the shade of the park's beautiful live oaks after the program. The park trails are open and guests can also visit the Fort on a free ferry ride.
