The Lightner Museum presents Contemporary Chronicles of St. Augustine from October 7, 2022 through September 30, 2023. The museum is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., except for Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.
This unique exhibit uses hand-drawn maps, photos, and photo flip-books to better understand how St. Augustine has been viewed by her residents. David Spooner, Associate Professor, College of Environment Design at the University of Georgia created the exhibit, which allows visitors to the museum to learn more about St. Augustine and the people who have lived here, to learn about how they documented their neighborhoods, and how those neighborhoods have changed or how they've remained the same.
The image with this event is a portion of a hand-drawn map of an old St. Augustine neighborhood, together with a black and white photo of an old picket fence in that neighborhood.
Admission: $17.00 for adults; $14.00 for those over 65, in the military, or in college; and $10 for youth 12 to 17.
