Artist Crystal Floyd creates in a space at CoRK Arts District in Jacksonville. Her studio is filled with botanical prints, specimens, and baskets of rocks and sticks. Butterfield Gallery in St. Augustine presented her work, and in 2025, she will be an artist in residence with the Timucuan Ecological and Historic Preserve. Her pieces intermingle art, science, and nature, celebrating the relationship of living beings and nature, and focus on conservation and environmentalism.
Much of her is a mix of found objects, preserved plant life, and recycled materials. She seeks to inspire innovative thinking with her art.
The cover photo is one of Crystal Floyd's pieces.
