In anticipation of the October 4 opening of its Dressing Downton Exhibit, the Lightner Museum presents a Summer Mixology Series on July 27 and August 31, 2017. The series will highlight the significant social impact of the development of the cocktail during the Gilded Era and into the Edwardian era, when the Downton Abbey series begins.

The July event will focus on gin, and the August event will be all about vodka. Guests can enjoy hand-crafted cocktails and sample food pairings while learning more about the seismic changes that occurred as England and America moved into the 20th century.

The event will take place in the Lightner Museum's historic pool area from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 27, and Thursday, August 31, 2017.
