Limelight Theatre: Fly by Night (A Musical)

Limelight Theatre presents Fly by Night, a love triangle set in New York City, from Thursday, May 8 through Sunday, May 25, 2025. The Sunday shows begin at 2:00 p.m.; all the other shows start at 7:30 p.m.

Fly by Night has been described as a "darkly comic rock-fable," and is set in New York City in the 1960s, with pivotal moments occurring during the 1965 northeast blackout. There are more than 16 musical numbers in the two-act play, which The American Musical Theatre Project workshopped in 2014. Kim Rosenstock created the concept for the play in the early 2000s and wrote it with Will Connolly and Michael Mitnick. It opened off-broadway in 2014.

Admission:

• General admission tickets are $35.00 for all. The Limelight does not offer lower prices for seniors, students, or the military during musical productions.
• Deal tickets for the first Thursday of each production (Preview Night, May 8) and on one Tuesday (Terrific Tuesday, May 20) are $25.00.
• Student "Rush Tickets" are $15.00, when available, 60 minutes before the curtain.
• Box office hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. or purchase tickets online.

When: On Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, from Thursday, May 8 through Sunday, May 25. Sunday shows are matinees and start at 2:00 p.m. The performances on all other days begin at 7:30 p.m. Preview Thursday is May 8, and Terrific Tuesday is May 20. 

Where: 11 Old Mission Avenue, St. Augustine, Florida 32084. There is free parking behind the theater—enter from Old Mission Avenue and drive to the back to park in the lot on Bernard Street. Use the main entrance.
