Limelight Theatre: Sense and Sensibility

Limelight Theatre presents Sense and Sensibility, a stage adaptation of the novel of the same name, beginning on Thursday, April 3, 2025. The Sunday shows begin at 2:00 p.m.; all the other shows begin at 7:30 p.m.

The play, written by Kate Hamill, brings to life the two genteel Dashwood sisters who must live an impoverished life after the death of their father. Set in England in the early 1800s, the play presents the era's gossipy, rules-based society with humor and ageless emotions, following the trials of sensible Elinor, and her sister, the hypersensitive Marianne.

Admission:

• General admission tickets are $35.00, tickets for those 62 and older are $33.00, and tickets for military and students (ID required) are $30.00.
• Deal tickets for the first Thursday of each production (Preview Night) and on one Tuesday (Terrific Tuesday) are $25.00.
• Student "Rush Tickets" are $15.00, when available, 60 minutes before the curtain.
• Box office hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. It is possible to purchase tickets online.

When: Thursday, April 3 (Preview Night), through Saturday, April 19, 2025. There will be one Terrific Tuesday show, on April 15. Sunday performances are matinees and start at 2:00 p.m. The performances on all other days start at 7:30 p.m. 

Where: 11 Old Mission Avenue, St. Augustine, Florida 32084. There is free parking behind the theater—enter from Old Mission Avenue and drive to the back to park in the lot on Bernard Street. Use the main entrance.
