In honor of Black History Month, the Lincolnville Museum and Cultural Heritage Center will be open on First Friday, February 2, 2024, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. People who have a St. Johns County ID will pay a reduced fee of only $5.00.

Located in the building that housed the Excelsior School, the first public Black high school in St. Johns County, the Lincolnville Museum's exhibits span more than 500 years of African American history in St. Augustine. The exhibits include information about the free and enslaved men and women of the Spanish period up through St. Augustine's impact on the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s and the leaders, foot soldiers, and supporters who were instrumental in the movement's success.

Admission: All St. Johns County residents with an ID will be admitted for $5.00. General admission is $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for youth.
