Military Veteran Fishing: Surf Fishing

The St. Johns County Parks and Recreation Department welcomes military veterans and their families to a Surf Fishing Workshop on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

This hands-on event for all ages provides veterans and their family members the chance to learn surf fishing techniques and enjoy a morning by the ocean. Guided by knowledgeable staff, participants will engage in instructional activities and have the opportunity to fish in a supportive and relaxed environment.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own fishing gear; however, equipment can be provided if needed.

All attendees must possess a valid shore saltwater fishing license or qualify for an exemption under guidelines set by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC).
