The Ponte Vedra Concert Hall presents Ottmar Liebert and his band Luna Negra on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. Doors open at 6:00 p.m.

Liebert, a guitarist of German origin, harbored an enduring passion for music, particularly flamenco. Initially showcasing his talents in rock music across various German clubs, he later relocated to Boston, Massachusetts. In 1989, Liebert moved to Los Angeles, where he laid the foundation for what would evolve into his renowned band, Luna Negra.

During this period, he independently produced his album, Marita: Shadows and Storms. The album garnered widespread acclaim, receiving consistent airplay on local radio stations and ultimately attracting the attention of record label, Higher Octave.

Liebert's album underwent a re-release with the new title Nouveau Flamenco. This revamped version achieved remarkable success, attaining double-platinum status in the United States and solidifying Liebert's position as a prominent figure in the flamenco music scene.
