Author Roger Smith will be on hand to sign his newest book, The 14th Colony: George Washington's Planned Invasions of East Florida, from 5 - 7 p.m. on Friday, December 5, 2014, at the Ximenez-Fatio House. The event will feature a special presentation by living history interpreters from the British Night Watch Illumination.

Roger Smith is a well-known author, guest speaker, and research historian with the Colonial Research Associates. His most recent book is an account of George Washington's plans to wrest control of eastern Florida away from the British, who were stockpiling weapons in St. Augustine. This is a fascinating story of the important role St. Augustine played in the American Revolution.

Admission to the book signing event is free.

When? Friday, December 5, 2014, from 5 - 7 p.m.

Where? The Ximenez Fatio House is located at 20 Aviles St. in St. Augustine.
