Romanza Presents ...

On Monday, May 5, 2025, from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m., the Romanza Festivale presents a performance with two local acclaimed musicians: singer Akia Uwanda and guitarist Taylor Roberts. Together, the two present a free concert, titled "The Music You Love."

A classically-trained vocalist, Akia has opened for Earth, Wind and Fire, performed at Carnegie Hall, and shared the stage with Kamasi Washington and Gregory Porter. She has performed in Dubai, Italy, and South Korea. Akia is also a songwriter, and her debut album, Lift, is described as an "inspirational journey" among several music genres, including blues, funk, R & B, gospel, and soul. Her album contains original songs, old standards, ballads, and jazz. 

Guitarist Taylor Roberts is well known for playing jazz, and his skills and influences cross several genres, such as R&B, pop, and classic rock. Taylor is a frequent performer at the Jacksonville Jazz Festival. He's toured internationally and played private events for the Rolling Stones.

Where: The St. Augustine Water Works is located at 184 San Marco Avenue in uptown St. Augustine, Florida 32084.

While the address is 184 San Marco Avenue, the only driveway on San Marco is Exit Only. Access to the Waterworks is through the St. Augustine Main Library parking lot. (Use 1960 North Ponce de Leon in your GPS.) 

About Romanza Festivale

This event is part of the annual two-week Romanza Festivale of Music and the Arts, showcasing historical, cultural, and creative events celebrating all things St. Augustine. From May 2 - 18, 2025, the nation's oldest city will be jam-packed with music and dance concerts, living history events, historical tours, live theater, and art exhibits.
