John Daugherty will perform for the Romanza Festival on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at noon at the Memorial Presbyterian Church on Sevilla Street.
From Albuquerque, New Mexico, John attended a performance of Don Giovanni when he was eight, and took the stage as a pickpocket in La Bohème one year later. Now a baritone with a masterful voice, John performs in operas, recitals, and oratorio, and is proficient in several styles and genres. Recently, he performed as Count Almaviva in Le Nozze di Figaro, Joseph de Rocher in Heggies' Dead Man Walking, and Mercutio in Roméo et Juliette. In April 2024, he performs as Moralès and Le Dancaïre when the Jacksonville Symphony produces Carmen.
Michael Giuliani will accompany John on piano. Michael is the pianist for the Jacksonville Symphony Chorus and the Director of Music and Organist at Trinity Parish.
