Shark Tooth Exploration at Mussallem Beachfront Park
(904) 209-0333St. Johns County Parks and Recreation hosts two Shark Tooth Exploration walks on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at Mussallem Beachfront Park from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m. and 10:00 to 10:45 a.m.
With changes to currents and erosion from the ocean, nature carries hidden treasures to shore. The Shark Tooth Exploration events teach guests about different types of shark teeth from the past and the present and how to find them. Participants can expect to find and learn about teeth from a variety of shark species, including Atlantic Sharpnose, Blacktip, Spinner, Finetooth, Blacknose, and Bonnethead.
This family-friendly event is free. Register online to secure a spot. Registration for this event opens on June 13, 2024, and remains open until August 13, 2024, or until all spots are filled.
